Walking down a street that you are unfamiliar with, can be dangerous if you have your nose buried in your phone. You could be sending a message that you are a foolish person and therefore, a soft target to be robbed. A robbery can become a homicide in a blink of an eye and it doesnu2019t have to involve a gun. But it is your responsibility to use critical thinking skills; to observe the behaviors of strangers around you, to look at the way traffic flows, to avoid going into areas where it is dark and where there are few people walking. Is all of this defensive behavior considered "profiling"? Of course, it is. It is profiling a part of the city that has shown to have high violence and/or high crime. And it is nothing personal,The danger of gunplay is a worry when I canu2019t see the person that intends to shoot someone. I am referring to the urban sniper who shoots at cars moving on the expressways of a city. The urban sniper may have a specific target in mind or he may be firing randomly. In those instances it can be simply bad luck to be in the wrong place. But even in that instance, one pays attention to police reports of where shootings have occurred and avoids driving through that area. It is the police that are helping to profile the area of the city that is dangerous.
I have been in states and towns where open carry is permitted. I do not worry about those folks because i have never come across anyone that is openly carrying his weapon, that is looking for trouble, and therefore, looking for an excuse to draw his weapon. The person that I watch is the one that is secretly carrying; their clothes are a bit tight on one side, and I ask myself is he licensed? Is he well-trained? Does he have maturity and self-restraint?I am more fearful about violence through terrorism in the form of a backpack or a briefcase left on a train platform or in a shopping mall. Again, using critical care thinking skills, being observant and yes, paying attention to that feeling in the gut that says, u2018something isnu2019t rightu2019 has helped me stay safer thus far. Thanks for reading this.R. Who is better for India: Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress or Aam Aadmi party?without taking any credit from MODI for Gujarat's so called 'development' I think the idea that as AAP doesn't have any past experience of governance it can't be trusted is a bullshit and frivolous... c'mon yr first give them a fair chance and then decide. Most of AAP executive members have been doing social service for years, these are the people who nt only exposed corruption bt also played pivotal role in bringing RTI to empower common man. No party today have intra-party democracy bt AAP have a clear & highly democratic organisational structure. If they are demanding for LOKPAL BILL then they also have a lokpal for their party. They have a clear past background and brought everything in the public domain. You, the Aam Aaadmi, can go their head office (like I did few months back) and ask for any clarification, you can even discuss with them abt their policies, you can question their candidates selection procedures (a true party of aam aadmi). In our city (Roorkee) AAP party members are working like a NGO, they have taken it as a mission and an opportunity to work for society and that too without power. Tell me how much constructive work has been done by BJP while being in opposition (except disrupting parliament, wasting its valuable time, frequent bandhs, arsons ).
... Why did not BJP disrupt parliament and called for nation wide bandh on the issue of Women Reservation Billt? Why didn't BJP shed away its politics in case of Land Boundary Settlement Bill something which would have been vital in improving Indo-Bangladesh relations? Why do BJP along with VHP,RSS, Bajrang Dal and other sangh parivar elements try to bring back Ram Mandir dispute, caw slaughter issue and Ganga cleanliness movements in common men mind? Why? Why? Why?AAP is nt against BJP,Congress and other political parties bt the corrupt pathetic system of India. These people are here for system overhaul. And who they are fighting for WE - dumb people who are totally blind to reality and try to believe the fictitious images of "YOUNG" Rahul Gandhi and "DYNAMIC & VIKAS PURUSH" Narendra Modi.
.. And those for whom AAP does mean lokpal amd pnly lokpal need to read SWARAJ, a book by Kejriwal, It will make them aware abt the ideas of self-governance, inclusive growth and propsed elcetion system. Other polices like foreign, defence, finance and law & order are being working at at. and tell me what are the policies of BJP and Congress on any issue.
.. These parties are being run over self-interest rather than ideology? (new concept of Indian democracy - jodniti) First time in the history of India sth like this is being tried on this level but unfortunately youth is being swayed by by media (especially social media) hype and sensationalism... I wish all us, the Indian youth, work as a party worker for AAP... Time has come that we clear this well-planned fog to see the world rationally :) Don't waste/abuse ur voting power.

When exactly did Severus Snape become interested in the Dark Arts? When exactly did Severus Snape become interested in the Dark Arts?It really should be quite obvious. Snape was into Dark Arts before Hogwarts. Thats why he wanted and expected to be put in Slytherin.
When Snape started Hogwarts he already knew more curses than half the kids in seventh year. Not spells or charms, nor even jinxes and hexes. Snape knew curses before he had even started Hogwarts.
GoF Ch27 Padfoot Returns:Snape knew more curses when he arrived at school than half the kids in seventh year, and he was part of a gang of Slytherins who nearly all turned out to be Death Eaters. In third or fourth year, Snape thought dark magic was just a laugh.DH ch 33:thought we were supposed to be friends, Snape was saying. Best friends? We are Sev, but I dont like some of the people youre hanging out with! Im sorry, but I detest Avery and Mulciber! Mulciber! What do you see in him Sev, hes creepy! Do you know what he tried to do to Mary MacDonald the other day?Lily had reached a pillar and leaned against it, looking up into the thin, sallow face. That was nothing, said Snape. It was a laugh, thats allIt was Dark Magic, and if you think thats funnySnape was a racist and a bully as a kid, and he was already using magic to hurt people long before Hogwarts.DH ch 33:Havent been spying, said Snape, hot and uncomfortable and dirty haired in the bright sunlight. Wouldnt spy on you, anyway, he added spitefully, youre a Muggle.Though Petunia evidently did not understand the word, she could hardly mistake the tone. There was a crack. A branch over Petunias head had fallen. Lily screamed: The branch caught Petunias shoulder, and she staggered backward and burst into tears.
To be clear, most wizards learn at least a few curses for self-defence and defending others. Dark magic isnt illegal. The difference between Dark wizards and everyone else is that Dark wizards primary focus is Dark magic. They are mostly interested in using magic to hurt people.
Lily was Snapes friend because she was the only good person that he liked and was nice to. Lily tried for years to pretend that her best friend wasnt a horrible person to everyone else."...I never meant to call you Mudblood, it just""Slipped out?" There was no pity in Lily's voice. "It's too late. I've made excuses for you for years. None of my friends can understand why I even talk to you. You and your precious little Death Eater friendsyou see, you don't even deny it! You don't even deny that's what you're all aiming to be! You can't wait to join You-Know-Who, can you?"He opened his mouth, but closed it without speaking."I can't pretend anymore. You've chosen your way, I've chosen mine.
""Nolisten, I didn't mean""to call me Mudblood? But you call EVERYONE of my birth Mudblood, Severus. Why should I be any different?"
