I have 2 tanks with sand and both have HOB filters. The intake is about 2 inches above the sand and I've not had any problems. I do, however, turn them off for an hour or 2 after I stir the sand.
1. Priming side skirts on car with spray can primer?
that's ok just make sure you wet sand the 1st 2 coats when dried & dry sand the 3rd coat then put your 4th coat of primer. when dried put at least 3 thin coats of enamel paint while overlapping while you are spray painting. i had to do my hood & when i was finished you would not know the difference between a professional paint job or a do it yourself paint job. hope this helps.
2. how can I change the sand in my haywood sand filter?
Turn off the pump. Take the top off the filter being careful not to pull the center pipe out. Use a shop vac to suck out the sand but do not push hard on the sand bed. About 1/2 way down go slowly as you will find "laterals" buried in the sand bed. Once you get to the laterals suck the sand out from between them and brush the sand off them. You do not have to get all the sand out but do not leave chunks either. To fill it Add enough water to cover the laterals inside by two inches of water. Pour the sand in slowly so that it settles around the laterals instead of pushing down on them. Once the sand is covering the laterals you can pour the rest of it in less carefully. Brush off the sand from the connections and wash them with water. Replace the top, turn the valve to backwash, turn on the pump, open the bleeder valve to let air escape, backwash/rinse as normal and you are done. You may have a little residual sand being expelled back into the pool but this is normal and will stop. If it continues then you may have cracked one of the laterals inside the sand bed.

If nutrition gets caught, you may constantly use a small gravel vacuum purifier to suck out the junk. Sand would artwork, yet use an exceedingly skinny layer. on your 5 gallon, i might recommend below an inch. the priority with sand is that it will no longer carry your flora. Oh, and you would be able to't vacuum with a gravel vacuum because of fact the sand gets sucked up

6. do u think it's possible for a person to blush so hard, that their blood will come out thru their pores?
I guesssss. Never see it, though. I read a book of "most embarrising moments" that people submitted to the author. Here were the top two; 1. A lady wrote that she was a motivational speaker, talking to a big crowd in a convention hall. Suddenly, she got sick. So she excused herself from the stage, went behind the screen, down the hall to the bathroom, closed the door to the toilet; and went on for about 10 minutes making various loud groaning noises, digestive and stomach gas noises, etc. Then there was a knock at her stall door. A lady said "excuse me, but you still have your microphone on!" Wow! That was a bad moment. 2. A lady on vacation in the bahamas was walking back from the beach to the hotel. Sand was in her bikini bottom rubbing her skin every step she took. So she ran inside some huge hedges against the building and took her bottom suit off, shook out the sand, wiped all the sand off of her skin (even the tight places), put the suit back on, and walked back into the hotel. The man at the reception counter, pointing to the tinted window along the wall - BEHIND THE BUSHES - said to her; "did you get all the sand out from between your legs?" The lobby was filled with about 30 people who were ALL watching her while she was inside the hedges. She thought the window glass behind her was not see-thru. It was tinted and dark, but definitely see-thru. Longest walk back to any room.
