How I Get My QuickTime Player to Play an This Video?

Hi, you could download a codec pack but those do more harm than good to your pc. If you do go with a codec pack only choose one and don't install more than one. Some good ones are combined community codec pack "cccp", shark007, and media player codec pack.

I would stay away from k-lite though. I will link you to "cccp" at the very bottom here. Here is a safer alternative, Try your video on the new kmplayer, (aka: daum potplayer) below.

It's very IMPORTANT you follow the instructions at bottom to properly uninstall kmplayer or daum if you do not like it. You can ignore daum's directx warning during installation and turn off daum's automatic update. All links are below for daum's english version.

Daum potplayer was developed by the original guy who made kmplayer. He sold kmplayer to pandora.tv and then went on to develop daum potplayer.

It can do pretty much everything kmplayer can and more. Daum isn't perfect yet but getting better with each update almost every other day. Daum is starting to be my favorite media player but it is still in it's infancy and being developed but it does support nearly any formats and full hd video.

actview&id239 After installing daum I recommend you right click and change the skin setting to this, (potplayer default skin-original_new_en.dsf) Also right click on aspect ratio and choose (fit to video recommended) then go through and change all the settings to your liking. Also right click on skins and select (always start with video skin) You can manage file associations by, right click on daum - click on preferances - click on association - to the right click on defaults - click on select all - then apply and close it out, ALWAYS select NONE then APPLY before uninstalling daum or kmplayer.

In addtion to the instructions above I also recommend after installing daum, (right click - preferences - click on general - to the right choose "default size" on screen when starting dropdown box.) Also checkmark the "default size on closing". Also when the installer comes up do not install the potplayer live files unless you understand live streaming korean tv.

VERY IMPORTANT: Before uninstalling kmplayer or daum potplayer ALWAYS do this. Open kmplayer right click on it - click on options then preferences - click on association/capture - to the right click on association at top - click none - click apply to system - click close. Now you can properly uninstall it without it leaving file associations.

Can I try to fight the Attorney General office?

In which state do you reside? The laws in each state differ in certain ways. When did the alleged sexual assault on the 10 yr old occur?

The statute of limitations may prevent the filing of a criminal complaint in that case. Also, other than the allegation that this offense occurred, what other evidence exists? For example:a medical exam of the child suggesting molestation/sexual assault; any possible DNA sources; any videos/pictures of the assault (some sickos like to document their abuse for later pleasure); any witnesses other than the child; any "outcries" by the child to any other adult like a teacher or counselor; any admissions by the alleged sicko; etc.

In general, your first step in having charges filed is to contact your local police and make a report. Provide the reporting officer with as much detail as possible and point out the location of any evidence of the crime. That officer will give you a case number.

keep this number in a safe place because you will need to refer to it often throughout the investigation. A detective should contact you to follow-up and begin the investigative process. If you don't hear from a det.

within a reasonable time, call the police department and ask to speak to a det. in the sex crimes until; have the case number handy to give to the det. who will be asking for it.

You may also want to contact your local child protective services agency and report the possible sexual abuse. Provide the representative with the child's name and address, the name and address (if known) of the alleged abuser; and the police report case number. Has the child been to a doctor for an exam?

If not, this should be done! The longer the period between the alleged assault and the time the doctor examines the child, the greater the potential for vital evidence being destroyed or lost forever. Finally, most large cities have a special unit in their respective District Attorney's Offices dedicated to the investigation and conviction of sexual predators and child abusers.

Call your local District Attorney's Office (this is the "governmental agency" that normally prosecutes criminal actions, not the Attorney General's Office), and ask to speak to the D.A. in charge of that unit.

Again, be sure to have the police case number to give to that assistant D.A. I can understand your frustration with the legal system.

but ultimately, it is your responsibility to educate yourself on how to manuver through the "system". I am glad that you are asking these questions.I congradulate you on trying to learn how to get things done within the "system".

I wish our public schools would spend time teaching high school kids in their govenrment class some basic civil and criminal rights we all possess. Things like basic business law, basic consumer law, basic criminal law, how our civil and criminal court systems work, how to file a civil or criminal complaint, etc. These are basic prinicples that we all need to know.
