3. Any ideas on what to do for my parents 25th Anniversary suprise party?
You could kind of ' are create" their wedding reception. Ask family members what was served at their wedding and have menu reflect that. Or, if you still live nearby, organize the party to be at the same restaurant where he proposed, or something meaningful like that. .. Also, for decorations, you could (and I think should) find and enlarge some of their wedding photos, and print them at poster size (shutterfly.com does this). I would use 'silver' as a guide for decorations, or also use their wedding colors. A slideshow of photos makes a nice keepsake and great entertainment for the evening. And you should make a playlist or CDs of songs they love, including their wedding songs. Have fun
4. Kicker L7 12" with Hifonics Zeus 1500 watt?
The frequency bypass is preference, on how high frequency you want the bass to come out the subs rather than the mid-speakers. Try around 50-60 first... if that feels too "buzzy" for you, drop it to 40-50. I would not recommend anything lower than that unless you got some really sick mid-range. The kicker L7's can get real low. I used to have two 15" Kicker L7s on a 1500.1zx and I had my box tuned to 35hz. kept the bypass around 50 or 55 I think, i played with it a bit depending on which songs I was bumping at the time tho... just fool with it a bit; you will be able to hear what sounds right. Just do not turn it past say... 120 or so...cuz then you could be clipping your subs. (100 to be safe). The L7s are squares, they have a lot of surface area..even with 12" you got more air displacement then a 15" circle would have...so they are meant to be played LOW frequency. It depends a lot on your enclosement housing tho. Just play with it around 30-65 hz... youll find the sweet spot you think sounds good. Keep the bass boost off and the gain low. And it will sound right. EDIT: A lot of people run at high hz for subs...just because they think it makes it sound louder. It does SOUND louder-- but thats not true subwoofer bass...its more of an irritating buzz that is just a loud rattle in my opinion. Real bass should boom, and is not really found over 70hz. If you want your system to sound real and legit, keep it below 70 for sure. IMO. You wo not have that annoying rattle that people identify as "wanging" but you will have a real legitamite BOOM that people will feel in their feet when your ride is comin down the street. Just my two cents. Keep the mid-range in ya mid range.) Real G's will tell you mid's start looooow. :D You want your high's to the celieng, your mids down low, and your bass under the floor. Thats what sounds tight. (for rap music anyway)
