LG Display Will Provide Apple with LCD and OLED Panels in the Second Half of 2018

According to the contract, LG display is expected to provide apple with 3 million to 4 million OLED panels and 20 million LCD smartphone panels in 2018. The company will produce these OLED panels at the e66g plant in pozhou.

With the continuous improvement of the yield rate of E6 factory, LG display may obtain orders to provide apple with most 6.5-inch OLED panels in 2019. Therefore, the company will increase the shipment of OLED panels to 10 million units this year.

The deal will also help LG display improve its financial position. The report pointed out that the company's net loss in the first quarter of 2018 was 98.3 billion won (US $87.04 million), and the loss in the second quarter may expand to 19.8 billion won.
