Max1276 / max1278 is a low-power, high-speed, serial output, 12 bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), with an operating rate of 1.8msps and a built-in voltage reference. These two devices use true differential input to provide better noise suppression, improved distortion characteristics and wider dynamic range at single ended input. Standard SPI â¢/ QSPI â¢/ MICROWIRE ⢠The interface provides the clock necessary for conversion. Max1276 / max1278 can be easily connected with standard digital signal processor (DSP) synchronous serial interface. Max1276 / max1278 use 4.75V to 5.25V single power supply. The max1276 / max1278 have an internal reference of 4.096V. The max1276 has a unipolar analog input and the max1278 has a bipolar analog input. Between two transitions, they can adopt partial power-off mode and full power-off mode, which can reduce the power supply current to 2mA (typical value) and 1 µ a (maximum value), respectively. The max1276 / max1278 also has a separate power input (VL), which can interface directly with the digital logic from 1.8V to VDD. Fast conversion speed, low power consumption, excellent AC performance and dc accuracy (± 1.25 LSB inl) make the max1276 / max1278 an ideal choice for industrial process control, motor control and base station applications. The max1276 / max1278 are packaged in a 12 pin TQFN package, providing an extended industrial grade (- 40 ° C to 85 ° C) temperature range.
