1. Which is better? Ceramic braces or Metal braces?
I dont know if ceramic is the same way. But if you can i would not get metal. Im sure theres pros and cons of each. But I personally had metal ones and they would cut the inside of my cheek up with the wire and also they didnt trim the wire enough when i went in and later that day the wire of the braces got lodged in my gum and my dad had to use pliers to get it out. That was probably the worst pain i have ever felt. And i would not recommend metal braces at all just from how terrible the metal and everything was.
2.
Feeling apocalyptic? I liked the metaphors but had some trouble with the flow, perhaps it was the way I was reading. Not bad though
3. Two part question: are you an atheist or a theist?
1.) I am an atheist. 2.) I have two gold crowns and have been slowly replacing my silver-mercury amalgam fillings with ceramic. I still have a few old-fashioned fillings left. As a child, I once had a silver-amalgam filling that literally received a powerful local radio station. I could hear the radio apparently coming from inside my head. I wish I would thought to try a tin-foil hat but it happened long before I understood electromagnetic wave propagation. FYI, there are no "gold fillings" because gold wo not form a workable amalgam that can be used to fill a cavity. Gold dental work is poured molten into a custom made mold.
4. Ceramic Braces?
YOU OBVIOUSLY CARE ABOUT YOUR APPEARANCE OTHERWISE YOU WOULDN'T BE GETTING BRACES. BECAUSE YOU CARE ABOUT YOURSELF REALIZE THAT THE INNER BEAUTY OF ANY PERSON IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. MANY AROUND THE WORLD DON'T HAVE PRETTY TEETH OR EVEN THE ABILITY OF SEEING AN ORTHODONTIST IF THEY COULD. IF YOU WANT BRACES THAT ARE INVISIBLE, ASK ABOUT INVISALIGN
5. will ceramic work for a gun barrel?
Ceramic Barrel
6. Hair Straighteners - Ceramic vs. Non-ceramic? Cheap Suggestions?
OK FOR CHEAP AFFORTIBLE ONE GO TO TARGET AND GET THE WET TO STARIGHT IT WORKS REALLY WELL PPL SAY THAT IT DAMAMGES HAIR BUT IT DOESNT TRUST ME I ADVISE THE 1 INCH ONE NOT 2". 1 IS BETTER AND ITS ONLY LIKE 35 DOLLARS
7. Piezoelctric Ceramic Transducing Capabilties
All commonly-available commercial piezoelectric materials produce extremely small electrical currents in response to applied stresses which produce extremely small strains in the material. If we model this process in terms of power flow, the power produced is similarly extremely small because it is the product of voltage (of order several volts) times current (of order several microamps). We conclude the process exhibits a very high characteristic impedance (typically of order 10 megohms) and to obtain significant amounts of electrical power then requires very significant amounts of induced strain in the material. Since the material is ceramic, however, large strains lead to brittle fracture and this puts limits on the power output of a single PZT disc. This leads to the idea of stacking up large numbers of individual PZT discs and wiring them together so their currents add. The stack is then driven by a mechanical system that applies cyclic high pressure/small displacement loads to the stack. Work was done on this power generation concept in the early 1970's (either at UC Berkeley or UC San Diego) but at the time it did not yield a practical device that could successfully compete with more conventional forms of electrical power generation
8. Any reviews on Remington Ceramic flat iron?
i adore remington electrical products, i have purchased remington stuff for the past 4years, my current straighteners, curling tongs, and clippers(for my fella's hair) are all remington. i dont thing much to over expensive brands like GHD they do nothing for my hair. my personal opinion is - yes the remington ceramic flat irons are well worth it! good luck :)
