Amazon recently brought the new smart home speaker echo show, which is very interesting, or the design of the video telephone landline before retro, with a touch screen that can display information. Two 2-inch speaker units are built in the echo show, occupying a large part of the fuselage to form stereo output, which is controlled by a sub board with Ti and Wolfson audio chips. The supporting power adapter is 15V and 1.4A, that is, it needs to reach 21W power to drive the intelligent speaker.

The motherboard has an Intel Atom x5-z8350 processor, 2GB of memory and 8GB of SanDisk flash memory. These are common configurations for general windows tablets, so echo show is actually a small computer. In theory, the windows system can be installed after cracking. In addition, the motherboard has Wi Fi and Bluetooth modules, touch screen control chips, etc.

As a smart home speaker, echo show has up to eight microphones for Alexa voice assistant to receive instructions. There is a 5 megapixel camera at the top for video calls. Ifixit gave the echo show a repairable score of only 4 points. Basically, it is difficult to completely restore the original appearance after disassembly.
